CWF Salish Sea Expedition April 10, 2012 Contest

To kick off the 2012 CWF Get to Know Contest, ocean rowing team OAR Northwest will be completing a rowing expedition to circumnavigate Vancouver Island!

The voyage will be bringing special attention to our wild neighbours of the Rivers and Oceans. All marine, river and lake-themed art submissions will be highlighted in their own Gallery and will be entered to win an additional prize – a fantastic whale watching trip off the coast of Vancouver Island provided by CWF and the Shaw Ocean Discovery Centre!

Sponsored by CWF, the OAR Northwest rowing team will be circumnavigating Vancouver Island in the world’s most technologically advanced rowboat. They will be encouraging youth to get outdoors and discover their wild neighbours for themselves and to submit water themed entries specifically to the Rivers to Oceans category. Students, families, teachers and entire schools are encouraged to follow and connect with the row through the OAR Northwest website.

The CWF Salish Sea Expedition launches April 8th from the Vancouver Contest Launch Event.
