Head outside, find a park near you, and check out the programs, events and activities offered by
the Prince George’s County Department of Parks and Recreation at www.pgparks.com. PRIZES!!! The Department of Parks and Recreation in Prince George’s County will recognize winners in three categories: elementary school, middle school and high school. Prizes in each group are $500 for 1st place winners, $300 for 2nd place winners and $150 for 3rd place winners. One grand prize winner will be awarded $1,000. Also, 50 pieces from each category will be showcased in an exhibition.

The Get to Know Program and the Prince George’s County Department of Parks and
Recreation want you to get outdoors and “get to know” your wild neighbors! Visit an M-NCPPC
park in the county – there are hundreds – and tap into your creativity. Send us your original
artwork, poetry, writing, photography, videos or music inspired by nature by November 1, 2013
and you could win some wild prizes! Don’t forget to check out our Events Page, and stay tuned for contest launch events, Art in the Park Days, and more.
Xtreme Teens is all about pushing the limits of traditional recreation. It’s about being able to express yourself, explore something new, make new friends and most of all — have fun!
